AORUS Z370 GAMING 5 Hackintosh

What we need?

8 GB Flash Drive or Higher
A working Mac or Hackintosh Machine
Catalina Operating System
Windows 10 Operating System (USB Bootable Device)

First!

Download the Operating System on the Apps Store (not on any other site).
Next, we need to create a bootable UEFi USB. Download Unibeast 12.3 from TonymacX86 (you need to create an account in order to download this).

Once you have all those program, Plug in your USB and open your Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility or search it using spotlight that can be found on the top right.
On disk utility, Highlight your USB Name. Next, Click on top middle says Erase. Pop up window will comes up. Put a name you want. Next, on format Highlight OS X Extended (Journaled). On Scheme GUID Partition Map. Once its all ok, Hit erase.

USB Installer

Run Unibeast. Click continue until you reach Destination.
Next, Highlight your USB and click continue.
On installation type, highlight Catalina.
Bootloader Configuration, for my set up. I am going to choose UEFI boot mode.
Installation, Verify and check if you have all in order. Click continue, Enter your password and hit install. This will take 2 to 5 mins defends on how fast is your system and your flash drive. Last, download multibeast for Catalina then copy or drag to your USB. You need this later.

BIOS Setting

This setting has to be set in order to boot the USB that we created.
Press delete key on your keyboard will the computer is booting up.
Next, set this up.

Save & Exit –>Load Optimized Defaults
M.I.T. –>Advanced Memory Settings Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) : Profile1 (This is optional if you want to get 2666 MHz of your RAM)
BIOS –> FastBoot: Disabled
BIOS –> CSM Support: Disabled
Peripherals –> Trusted Computing –> Security Device Support: Disable
Peripherals –> Network Stack Configuration –> Network Stack: Disabled
Peripherals –> USB Configuration –> Legacy USB Support: Auto
Peripherals –> USB Configuration –> XHCI Hand-off: Enabled
Chipset –> Vt-d: Disabled
Chipset –> Wake on LAN Enable: Disabled

Note: This option is use for iGPU. Note: i had GPU installed and i want to show my iGPU on system report but still don’t had a luck maybe you guys had and this is what i do on my settings.

Chipset –> Integrated Graphics: Enabled
Chipset –> DMVT Pre-allocated: 128 M
Chipset –> DMVT Total Gfx Mem: 256 M
Chipset –> IOAPIC 24-119 Entries: Enabled

Then, shut it off your PC.

Mac OS X Sierra on first SSD

First i do is to remove my other hard drive and run only one hard drive to make it easy for my side and don’t forget to remove other USB like Bluetooth, etc. Because this makes my installation error for some reason.

Next, plug your USB installer and hit the power. Once the computer start, hit F12 (if you are on gigabyte MOBO) and choose your UEFi USB (name of your USB). Once you reach on clover, highlight “Boot MacOS from Catalina” and press space bar then, check “Verbose”. The “set nvidia to VESA” is default so don’t un check. If its not check on your side, go ahead and check it out.

Next, highlight “Boot MAC OS X with selected option” and hit enter. The reason why i always use verbose, just to make sure that the boot load is not stuck on something or having a kernel panic.

On the welcome installation, click continue. Next, click Disk Utilities. Now click on the top right and check “Show All Devices” (Reason, we need to show all hidden from the Hard Drive).

Now, Highlight your Hard Drive ( This is the name of your Hard Drive not the name you put before. If this is new then you are all good to go.)

And on the top middle. Click erase, on a new window. Put a name (any name you want). Format: choose AFPS (note: AFPS is use for SSD, NVMe or for M.2. Use MacOS Extended Journal if you are going to use HDD) Scheme: GUID Partition Map then hit ERASE. Once the format is done, close disk utilities. Then, click “Install macOS“. Follow the instruction until you see your Hard Drive name (this is what you create few minutes ago). Highlight your hard drive and hit Install.

Hit F12 again and choose your UEFi USB (name of your USB). On Clover, choose where you install MAC OS X (mine it’s Macintosh SSD) and hit space bar. Then check again “verbose” and “set nvidia to VESA” and highlight “Boot mac OS with Selected options” then, hit enter.

The system will auto restart 3 times. So once the PC reboot, you had to highlight your Hard Drive on clover in order to make the installation proceed (if clover didn’t goes. You need to hit F12 and highlight your UEFi USB in order for you to boot on clover). Do this until you reach the ‘Welcome” Installation.

Once you are in the system, We need to install drivers. Open your multibeast (downloaded early) and follow below.

On quick start –>> choose UEFI boot mode.

Driver under network –>> Intel –>> IntelMausi v1.0.3

Bootloaders –>> Clover UEFI Boot Mode + Emulated NVRAM

Customize under System Definitions –>> check Mac Pro 8,1 (or use the default iMac 14,1)

Next, hit build and install. This will take a few mins. Once its done, don’t restart your computer.

Download and run Clover Configurator ( you can get this on tonymac site ).

For IGPU (optional) Note: i had GPU installed and i want to show my iGPU on system report but still don’t had a luck maybe you guys had and this is what i do on my settings.

First, Open Clover Configurator and select Tools –>> Mount EFI. On the right side look for your EFI HDD/SSD and Mount Partition then “Open Partition”. Next, open you config.plist with Clover Configurator (EFI –>>Clover –>> Config.plist) . Then, on your left, click Section –>>Boot. Under “Arguments” choose “-disablegfxfirmare”.

Second, On left again. Choose Tools –>>Kexts Installer and install Lilu and WhateverGreen.

Third, Choose Section –>> Graphics and check “Inject Intel”. Then, Restart your PC.

For Audio

First, Open Clover Configuration and open the partition follow by opening the config.plist. Now, on left choose Tools –>> Kexts Installer and install AppleALC.

Next, Choose Sections –>> Devices –>> Audio under inject choose 11. Then, restart your PC.

For USB

First, Open Clover and do the same as how we open the config.plist. Choose Tools –>> Kexts Installer and install USBInjectAll.

Second, look on tonymac site with this same MOBO where you can get this XHCI-300-series-injector.kext and SSDT-UIAC.aml to make USB more stable. Once you got the kext, just drag and drop it to your kext folder. On SSDT you need to drag and drop it to this folder EFI –>> clover –>> ACPI –>> patched. Then, restart you PC.

For IMessage and Facetime

First, Run Clover Configuration and open your Config.plist.

Second, on Tools –>> SMBIOS choose MacPro 7,1 (this is the only SMBIOS that works for me). Then, Generate new serial number but make sure that number doesn’t exists.

Third, Tools –>> System Parameters Generate new UUID

Fourth, Tools –>> Rt Variables under CsrActiveActive Put 0x67

Windows 10 on Second SSD

Reminder that you need to create a bootable UEFI windows to make this two work together.

Before we begin, we need to remove the first hard drive (MAC OS X). I know, this is kind a bit too much work but this is the only way not to make our first install (MAC OS X) being mess up by windows or windows maybe installed on first hard drive. Theres a lot of consequence that may happen and its happened to me many times.

Plug your USB windows installer then turn on the power. Hit F12 and choose your USB bootable Device. Next, follow the instruction. Once you reach on “which type of installation do you want?” choose custom. Next, you will see hard drive. Highlight the hard drive name that you want the windows to be installed and click format. For my side i have only one because this hard drive is new. Then, click continue. Keep following until it started to install. Once its done install all of your drivers and other.

Plug your first Hard Drive (don’t forget to remove power), then turn on the power. Hit “delete” key on your keyboard to enter bios settings (gigabyte Motherboard). Go on the BIOS –>>Boot Option Priorities and on “Boot Option #1” Choose you UEFi PO Name of the Hard Drive. On the second, choose your P1 UEFi Hard Drive Name(This PO, P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 is where you hook up those Hard Drives. If you getting confuse Pls. refer on the manual). Save and exit then there you go.

You have your MAC and Windows working. To go on the windows, just press any key on your keyboard once you are on clover countdown. Then, press left or right and highlight the windows logo and press enter. On MAC, No need to do any thing. Just let the system run.

On system time, mac is going to give you the right one but on windows. Its kind a somewhere else. To make this system time fix, Click this link and it will give you details to fix it.

On “about this MAC” like on Imac (Late 2012) or Processor say 3.7 GHz unknown Pls click this “LINK” to see how to change.
